Maood Bin Tahir

Maood started his education at University of Toronto in Life Sciences. Thereafter, he completed his undergraduate Degree in Economics at York University. Due to his passion for Business and taxation he obtained a Specialized Degree in Economics and Business; an Elite program of only 23 graduates. He was elected President of Student Unions at the York University In both undergraduate and graduate studies. He then proceeded to complete his law degree (LL.B) in the U.K. at the prestigious University of London. He then completed two separate Master of Laws (LL.M) Degrees at the Osgoode Hall Law School, York University Specializing in Canadian Common Law subject such as Criminal, Constitutional, Tort, Contract, Public and Administrative Law, followed by Specialization in Business Law covering matters related to Corporate Finance, Corporate Governance, Board of Directors, Copyrights, Intellectual Property and Cyber security.

Maood started his career with Real Estate Council of Ontario in 1999 by becoming one of the youngest Realtors in Ontario after completing his Real Estate College. He founded Dream Land Realty Inc. in 2003 employing 15 member Realtor team. Licensed under Real Estate Business and Brokers Act. He has handled portfolio of over $300 million dollars. Shortly after he completed his certification with Financial Services Commission of Ontario to be Licensed under Mortgage Brokers Lenders and Administrators Act. He founded Dream Land Financial Services Inc. in 2004 with an average of $60 million dollar per annum volumes.

He has Chaired Professional Standards and Arbitration hearings for the Toronto Real Estate Board for the last 18 years. He was promoted to Appellate division in 2007. He currently serves as the Adjudicator at Toronto Regional Real Estate Board since 2004.

Maood has a strong belief in Serving humanitarian work through Legal Aid Ontario. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Humanity First Canada, AMJC Inc.’s auxiliary MKAC all Registered Charities in Canada. He currently serves as the in house legal counsel for these Registered Charities. He takes pride in Pro Bono work with aforementioned as well as International legal counsel work with few South American and Cayman Island registered NPO’s.

Maood practices in High Courts of Pakistan and Superior and Appellate courts of Canada with keen interest for Refugee and Human Rights work. He is member of Punjab Bar Council, Law Society of Ontario, Criminal Lawyer’s Association, Toronto Lawyers Association, Ontario and Canadian Bar Associations.

Maood has been per diem Crown since 2021 handling bail applications as Crown Attorney.

In his spare time he has been a TV Host for the series of programs running on MTA TV station broadcasting to Tens of Millions of viewers internationally.

Wasique Al-Azad Rakib

Wasique has more than 10 years of Global Experience in handling Complex Litigations. At Absolute Law he is Providing Legal Services to its clients in Family, Civil, Real Estate, Wills and Estate, Immigration, Business and Criminal Matters. He is one of the founding Partners of SK & Associates, a Full-Service Law Firm located in Bangladesh. He completed his Master of Law (LL.M) from the Osgoode Hall Law School of York University and received Certificate of Qualifications from the National Committee on Accreditation (NCA) of The Federation of Law Societies of Canada. Wasique obtained his LL. B(Hons) Degree from the University of Wolverhamton, UK in 2007, Wasique completed his Bar Vocational Course (BVC) and Post Graduate Diploma in Law (PGDL) from the Manchester Metropolitan University and subsequently got called as a Barrister-at-Law from the Hon'ble Society of Lincoln's Inn, UK. Upon his return to his Home Country Bangladesh in 2010, Wasique joined one of the Leading Full-Service Law Firm of Bangladesh named Amir and Amir Law Associates, which was a distinguished Lex Mundi member firm. Wasique enrolled as an Advocate of the District Court and the High Court Division of Supreme Court of Bangladesh in the year 2013 and 2017, respectively. Wasique Moved to Canada in 2017 and subsequently got called from the Law Society of Ontario in 2020. He is a member of Law Society of Ontario, Ontario Bar Association, Bangladeshi-Canadian Lawyers Association, Hon'ble Society of Lincoln's Inn, UK, Barrister Association of Bangladesh, Dhaka Bar Association, Bangladesh

Gagan Abrol

Gagan graduated in 2016 from Law School. She pursued further studies and completed her Masters in Legal Research in 2019. She was called to Punjab and Haryana Bar in 2017. She practiced in the area of Criminal Law. She brings a strong results-oriented background to our firm.

Abdul Qayyum, Paralegal

Law can be intimidating. As our paralegal and office manager, Abdul will work directly with you to make sure you get the services you need. With over 10 years of legal experience Mr. Abdul brings confidence to the table.

Louise Chenier

Louise holds a Law Clerk certification. She is assisting with our growing general practice. Louise has a keen interest in Wills and Estate Law.

Amna Tahir

Amna completed her Paralegal Diploma with Honors from Humber College in Toronto. Amna has been added to our team in lieu of our growing need in Real Estate Law practice.
